Tips to Find the Perfect Fit: Your Guide to Online Shopping for Muay Thai Gear

Improving your Muay Thai skills necessitates not only rigorous training sessions, but also the proper fitting gear that boosts your performance. When you can't try the clothes on before you buy, it can be difficult to find the right fit.

While RSLNT Fight Wear uses standard American sizing, we understand how difficult it can be to select the correct size. That's why we've broken down how to measure yourself and find the perfect fit for your Muay Thai shorts, gloves, shin guards, and shirts when you shop online!

Muay Thai Shorts

Muay Thai shorts must be comfortable and allow for maximum movement. Measure your waist circumference at the belly button to determine your size. While doing so, avoid flexing or sucking in your stomach. Then, compare this measurement to the size chart that is included with each product.

Gloves

When it comes to gloves, the weight is more important than the size. Glove size is related to the intensity of training or fighting as well as the weight of the fighter. 12 oz is usually sufficient for general training and sparring, while 8-10 oz is recommended for competition. However, if you are heavier or prefer more padding, choose 14 oz or 16 oz gloves. The glove should fit snugly around your hand, providing a secure and comfortable grip.

Shin Guards

Shin guards are an essential piece of Muay Thai equipment for safety and injury prevention. Measure the length of your shin from under the knee to the top of your foot, as well as the circumference of your calves at their widest point. Take note of these measurements and compare them to our size chart!

Shirts

Muay Thai shirts should ideally be form-fitting but not too tight, allowing the skin to breathe and sweat to evaporate. Measure your chest and waist circumferences, as well as the length of your shirt from the highest point of your shoulder down. Compare these measurements to the size chart provided.

Shopping for Muay Thai gear online should be a fun and stress-free experience. Taking a few extra minutes to properly measure yourself can make a huge difference in both your comfort and performance.
